Join San Francisco's Museum of the African Diaspora's Chef-in-Residence Bryant Terry for a morning celebrating the Free Breakfast for Children program started by the Black Panther Party in 1969 and the contemporary food justice work inspired by that program.  Admission includes Red Bay Coffee; a breakfast prepared by The People’s Kitchen Collective; a short musical set by DJ Cavem Motivation along with a screening of From Gangs To Gardens, a short film about his life and work; and a lively conversation between Judy Juanita (who was heavily involved in running the Free Breakfast for Children Program) and Jocelyn Jackson (one of the core members of The People’s Kitchen Collective) moderated by Faiza Farah of Third Space Media.
