Decolonizing Foodways at SAEA

  • University of California at Santa Cruz 1156 High Street Santa Cruz, CA, 95064 United States (map)

Join the People's Kitchen Collective and Sariwa! as we decolonize foodways at the Sustainable Agriculture Education Association's National Conference at UC Santa Cruz.

Together with Sariwa! we are creating a fresh menu of locally grown ingredients from around the world. These combined histories and flavors reveal the power of food as a tool for decolonization and activist work.

Panelists include:

  • Catriona Rueda Esquibel, Co-author of Decolonize Your Diet, moderator
  • Ron Reed, Co-Founder, Karuk-UC Berkeley Collaborative; Cultural Biologist, Karuk Tribe
  • Gail Myers, Agri-Cultural Anthropologist and Co-Founder of non-profit Farms to Grow, Inc.

Conference registration is accessibly priced and available here.
