COMMUNITY DINNERS

Our monthly, sliding scale dinners are what the People's Kitchen Collective is most known for. These family-style dinners are created in collaboration with teams of artists, chefs, and storytellers with menus that are highly narrative-based, often telling stories of political movements, community migrations, and diasporic resilience. These richly visual dinners are equal parts installation, pop up dinner, public art practice, and grassroots organizing experience. These dinners are intentionally designed and facilitated to engage all the senses in experiencing these narratives. Often these dinners will be in collaboration with a particular grassroots political organization, and will raise necessary funds for vital social justice movements. We believe that good food should be accessible to all people, and these dinners are intentionally accessibly priced at a sliding scale rate. We believe the most important thing is for community to be able to come to the table together and share a good meal.
