Womxn's Leadership in Food 9th Annual Symposium/Simposio Anual

  • Green Valley Road Sebastopol Sebastopol, CA 95472 United States (map)

Join us on Saturday for a matinee film screening of EARTH SEED: A People's Journey of Radical Hospitality, hosted in collaboration with The People's Kitchen Collective! EARTH SEED centers a pilgrimage through California from present-day Los Angeles to Mendocino Woodlands that happened from March – June 2023. Filmmakers and community organizers visited with people and places building models for survival and our collective future. Rooted in Octavia Butler’s Parables series, the legacy of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, and the diaspora of the global south, EARTH SEED enacts radical hospitality as a survival practice. Join us at 1:30 for snacks and cozy beverages, and stay after the screening for a Q&A with the filmmakers! At this time, we are not certain that this film will have Spanish subtitles by Nov 15th. Please check Instagram and Eventbrite periodically for updates.
